Sleepmode Thinkbook 14 gen 2 ITL

Asked by Andreas Hunwartsen

I have a Lenovo thinkBook 14 Gen2 ITL
What i can read it should be certified for Ubuntu but Sleepmode does not work resulting in high powerdrain with lid closed.
I would say it drains 10-15% per hour resulting in a pretty useless laptop when used away from home.

I've tryed Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04, 23.10 and now i've tryed even 24.04 all with the same problem.
Just for testing i've tryed Fedora 38 and 39 and Zorin 16, 17 every distro has the same problem!

I've seached the web tryed to fiddle with s2idle settings as someone sugested butt nothing works.....

I bought the laptop since it was a certified laptop and i thought it would be painless..... boy was i wrong......

It's an i5 gen 11, 16GB RAM and 256GB M2 SSD.
Bought it mid 2023, knowing it was not the bleeding edge of technology but thought that would be good then all problems should be solved......

Very happy for som help here :-)

Best regards Andy
