Unsupported version of Ubuntu

Asked by Benjamin

Good afternoon,

I have a problem with installing HPLIP 3.23.5 on Ubuntu 23.04. The installer says that this OS version is not supported. Nevertheless, If I try to continue the installation anyway, the installation stagnates on the command 'sudo apt-get remove libhpmud0 libsane-hpaio printer-driver-postscript-hp'. Is there a way to solve this or do I have to wait for a new version? When will a new version with the support of Ubuntu 23.04 be released?

Thank you in advance.

There is an adapted package of hplip 3.22.10 for Ubuntu 23.04 in the Ubuntu repositories, to be installed with the command
sudo apt install hplip hplip-gui
This should work for your, unless you have a HP device that needs a hplip version later than 3.22.10.
